3rd Grade Academic Trip (21st of Dec 2017)

3rd Grade Academic Trip (21st of Dec 2017). Site Visiting to the construction site was organized on 21st of Dec 2017 by the program director. Before anything, all the safety precautions gave by the paper such us wearing helmet and proper shoes, then the base on the plan, all student gathered at university around 9:00pm and we to the reached the site after quarter an hour journey by bus, located near the Empire Tower, After arrival to the site and meeting with the people in charge of guiding us, a short brief about was given by the project engineer and his colleagues to start the tour around the site.

Objectives & Reasons for choosing this project

The Reasons for the site visiting are:

To get an understanding how theoretical knowledge is fitted in practice.
To gain experience in implementing engineering economic principles in the Construction industry.
To develop students’ skill in evaluating the project in terms of economy.

Objectives

Engineering economy is one of the few engineering topics that is equally applicable to both individuals and corporate and government employees. It can analyze personal finances and investments in a fashion similar to corporate project finances. Engineering economy is a collection of techniques that simplify comparisons of alternatives on an economic basis. In defining what engineering economy is, it might also be helpful to define what it is not. Engineering economy is not a method or process for determining what the alternatives are. On the contrary, engineering economy begins only after the alternatives have been identified.
