Welcoming Ceremony for 2nd and 4th Stage Students
The Department of Architecture, Faculty of Engineering at Tishk International University held two welcoming ceremonies for the second and fourth-stage students on October 16th, 2022, under the supervision of Dr. Serdar Dayan, Dean of Students Representative at the Architectural Engineering Department.
Mrs. Lavin introduced the Dean of Students (DOS) Unit to the students and mentioned their activities. She explained the DOS mission and vision and the activities students can participate in and have participated in the years prior.
Ms. Dania Idrees Asaad, Research Assistant and DOS Representative, presented the activities and social projects organised by the Dean of Students in cooperation with students last year. She also introduced the new social activities for the 2022-2023 academic year.
Mr. No’man Bayaty, Lecturer at the Department of Architecture, summarised the information and regulations within the student handbook. He also discussed the university’s guidelines and highlighted the different services offered by the university, such as exchange programs. Mr. No’man Bayaty further explained TIU’s grading system and thoroughly demonstrated how grades are calculated. The seminar also covered the faculty hierarchy and disciplinary cases within.
At the end of the event, staff and students shared cake and drinks to celebrate the new academic year, and staff members wished the students all the best in their studies and academic journey.
