Educational Site Visit

On February 16th, 2025, the Architecture Engineering Department organized a field trip to Pavilion Erbil, one of the largest residential complexes in Erbil city. The visit was coordinated by execution drawing staff Mrs. Wafaa Wasfi, Ms. Shad Ahmad, and Ms. Bushra Abdulmajid, with transportation sponsored by ROJ ART COMPANY.

Construction Observation

Third-stage students had the unique opportunity to observe various construction phases:

  • Interior and exterior finishing works

  • Slab construction and flooring installation

  • Skeletal structural systems

  • Electrical and plumbing installations

  • Steel structure implementation

  • Stair construction techniques

Guided Learning Experience

The site visit featured:

  • 56 students divided into three groups for detailed observation

  • Each group guided by a staff member and site engineer

  • Comprehensive explanations of construction processes

  • Direct interaction with construction professionals

  • Practical demonstration of architectural execution

Educational Activities

Students engaged in:

  • Photographic documentation of construction stages

  • Detailed note-taking for academic reference

  • Group discussions with engineering professionals

  • Hands-on observation of building techniques

  • Preparation for comprehensive project reports
