As part of their commitment to community engagement, students from the Architecture Engineering Department at Tishk International University carried out a humanitarian initiative during June 2026 to support women and children residing in a local shelter. The project was conducted under the supervision of Mr. Omar Azad as part of the Interpersonal Dynamics and Character Building (IDCB) course.

The initiative was organized by Honya Omed (Team Leader), Jannat Najat, Kani Khalid, Lina Haydar, Nawa Niaz, Sana Jangar, Tablo Tayb, and Zin Hassan. Recognizing the challenges faced by shelter residents, the students sought to provide assistance that would help meet daily needs and promote a sense of care and belonging.

Following consultations with the shelter administration, the team identified the most needed items and assembled support packages containing clothing, hygiene products, towels, and other essential supplies. The packages were delivered directly to the residents, helping ease some of their everyday difficulties while offering comfort and encouragement.

To make the project possible, the students raised funds through the Food Fundraising Event held on Monday, 11 May 2026, at Tishk International University. The proceeds from food sales and additional contributions were used to purchase the donated items and prepare the care packages.

Tishk International University applauds the students for their dedication to humanitarian service and their efforts to create a positive impact through compassion, generosity, and active citizenship.
