As part of the Interpersonal Dynamics and Character Building (IDCB) course on Thursday, June 12, 2026, in Setaqan., a group of first-year students from the Architecture Engineering Department at Tishk International University successfully organized a humanitarian project entitled “A Bag of Hope”.
The initiative was carried out by students Buraq Farhad, Vilar Salim, Sabur Ali, and Abdulla Muhammad with the aim of supporting underprivileged families by providing food and essential household items. The project sought to bring hope, happiness, and relief to those facing financial difficulties while encouraging a spirit of compassion and community solidarity.
During the activity, students purchased food supplies and basic necessities, carefully packed them into aid bags, and distributed them to families in need. Through their efforts, they also helped raise awareness about food insecurity and poverty within the community.
The project reflects the values of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly those related to reducing poverty and promoting social well-being. It also provided students with an opportunity to develop important skills such as teamwork, leadership, communication, empathy, social responsibility, and community engagement. By the end of the initiative, the students gained valuable experience in serving the community and deepened their understanding of sustainable development and civic responsibility. The project demonstrated how small acts of kindness can make a meaningful difference in the lives of others and contribute positively to society.
Tishk International University commends the students for their dedication and commitment to community service and encourages continued participation in initiatives that promote social impact and humanitarian values.
