The Department of Architecture at Tishk International University successfully organized an international online workshop titled “Street Furniture Influences in Preserving the Cultural Environment and Identity” on Thursday, June 18, 2026.

The workshop was conducted online and brought together academic staff, researchers, and students from different institutions to discuss the important role of street furniture in enhancing urban environments while preserving cultural heritage and local identity.

The event featured presentations addressing the influence of urban furniture on the cultural character of cities, as well as international case studies demonstrating successful experiences from different countries. Participants engaged in productive discussions on how public space design can strengthen community identity, improve the quality of urban environments, and promote cultural sustainability.
