On Wednesday, January 8, 2026, During this semester, the Department of Architectural Engineering at Tishk International University hosted a seminar presented by representatives of the Presidency of Erbil Municipality regarding the procedures and regulations governing building permits.
The seminar was delivered by Harem Sartib Mohammed Salih, Architectural Engineer at the Presidency of Erbil Municipality, Building Permit Department. The session provided an in-depth overview of the building permit application process, legal requirements, approval procedures, and the regulations that guide construction projects within Erbil.
Students and academic staff attended the seminar, benefiting from practical insights into professional and regulatory aspects of the construction industry. The event served as a valuable opportunity to connect academic learning with real-world practices and to enhance participants’ understanding of urban development and construction governance.
