Wednesday, June 17, 2026 , The Department of Architectural Engineering at Tishk International University organized a seminar titled “Social Housing in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq”, presented by Eng. Bayar Takiialdeen, Director of Social Housing at the Ministry of Construction and Housing (MOCAH).
During the seminar, Eng. Takiialdeen provided valuable insights into regional housing policies, regulations, and public tendering processes within the Kurdistan Region. The session examined quantitative data to identify cities facing the highest housing deficits and spatial development demands, offering students a practical understanding of contemporary housing challenges.
The seminar aimed to bridge the gap between academic learning and professional practice, equipping fifth-year Architectural Engineering students with the knowledge and real-world frameworks necessary for developing meaningful graduation projects and future professional endeavors.
