7th International Festival of Language, Culture & Science
The Architecture Engineering Department, Faculty of Engineering at Tishk International University (TIU) was represented in a diverse array of activities at the spring festival, which was held on April 25th, 2024, at Tishk International University. The three types of tents that were available were the food fundraising tent, cultural tent, and scientific tent.
The guests were provided with fresh beverages and food at the food fundraising tent. The objective of the food fundraising initiative was to generate funds for the charitable acquisition of equipment by Nanakali Hospital. Morocco was the designated country for the cultural tent. The students not only prepared traditional Moroccan cuisine, dressed in traditional attire, and designed the interior and gate of the tent, but they also created posters that informed about Moroccan culture. The tent’s interior and the gate’s exquisite design were inspired by Moroccan architectural traditions and geometric motifs.
The scientific tent was assembled by the staff and volunteer students, including the interior and gate of the scientific tent with an AI theme were designed by them. The hologram exhibited, which was funded by the QafLab innovation cluster, featured Al-Nabi Younis Mosque in Mosul. The students dedicated a significant amount of time and effort to the construction and painting of the wooden gate. They developed posters that encompassed a diverse array of subjects, including facts about artificial intelligence in architecture. The posters were illuminated by LEDs, which further emphasised the interior’s breathtaking architecture. An exercise in visitor-jury engagement was conducted, during which the application of artificial intelligence (AI) generators in architecture was the subject of discussion. A television was provided.
