IoT Applications International Workshop

In collaboration with Kongu Engineering College – India, the Mechatronics Engineering Department, Faculty of Engineering at Tishk International University, conducted an International Workshop on Arduino: IoT Applications, held on May 31st, 2022.

The workshop comprised two sessions; the first session was presented by Dr Priyanka E. B. from Kongu Engineering College – India, and Dr Rand Alhashimie presented the second session from Mechatronics Engineering ​Department / TIU. Ninety-three participants joined the workshop online and on-campus from different universities. The following topics were covered during the first session: 

• IoT fundamentals and features 
• Arduino components and types
• Introduction to Thingspeak

The second session covered the following:

• IoT System Architecture 
• Applications of IoT Systems (Smart Home, E-Health Systems, Smart Agriculture and Smart City)
• IoT System requirements, including Sensors, Actuators, Controllers and Platforms
