Mechatronics Engineering is a dynamic, multidisciplinary field uniting mechanics, electronics, computers, communication, and signal processing. It forms the core of robotics, automation, and artificial intelligence (AI); technologies that are rapidly redefining our world.
We are living through a new industrial era driven by intelligent systems and smart automation. The ability to adapt and innovate is now essential for success. The next generation will live in a world where interaction with robots, autonomous systems, and AI-powered devices is an everyday experience.
Modern industries rely on AI-based technologies capable of identifying and recognizing objects, faces, and gestures through camera vision and deep learning, as well as interpreting body and hand gestures for natural Human-Machine Interaction (HMI). These intelligent systems operate tirelessly with precision, efficiency, and reliability.
At the Department of Mechatronics Engineering, we prepare students to design, develop, and integrate such technologies-from robotic arms and automation systems to smart AI-driven controllers. Our graduates are not just participants in this transformation-they are leaders shaping the future of intelligent engineering.
We emphasize student-centered and project-based learning, encouraging hands-on experience in AI-mechatronic projects conducted in our laboratories. Seminars, workshops, and collaborations with industry and research centres further enrich this experience.
Through a culture of innovation, engagement, and community collaboration, we aim to graduate engineers who are creative, adaptable, and ready to lead in the era of AI-powered Mechatronics.
