SEISMIC VULNERABILITY AND RISK ASSESSMENT: CASE STUDY OF IRAQ Seismic risk is the probability that a subject site will be adversely affected by any seismic hazard, such as an earthquake. Seismic risk tends to increase in areas that are more earthquake-prone and vulnerable to damage. Vulnerability refers to the potential impact on people, as well as properties. SEISMIC VULNERABILITY AND RISK ASSESSMENT (Workshop Upcoming) An International Workshop titled SEISMIC VULNERABILITY AND RISK ASSESSMENT: CASE STUDY OF IRAQ will be organised by the Chair of Advanced Structures (BUW) and Civil Engineering Department, Faculty of Engineering at Tishk International University, on Wednesday, November 30th, 2022. The creation of these resources has been funded by the DAAD University partnership with Iraq 2022-2023 program under grant no. 57609522. Neither the European Commission nor the project‘s national funding agency DAAD is responsible for the content or liable for any losses or damage resulting from the use of these resources.
