Second-year students paid a scientific visit to IBERIA batch plant under the supervision of lecturer Mr. Barham Haidar with assistant Halmat Muslih. we are welcomed warmly by Engineer Mohammad Nadir who graduated from the department of civil engineering-Tishk International University and he supervises the plant. In Concrete technology course students should be familiar with field work such as properties of concrete ingredients like; sand, gravel, cement, and water. The process of gradation of aggregate, taking a sample to make sieve analysis for aggregate was explained on the field. the significance of initial and final setting time of cement and its impact on work-ability and strength were explained. students are assigned to prepare a report regarding the visit. the scientific visit ended by having lunch altogether.
