Scientific Trip to Dukan Dam 2023-24
On November 28th, 2023, the Civil Engineering Department, Faculty of Engineering at Tishk International University (TIU) organized a scientific trip for its students, immersing them in the complexities of engineering during a visit to Dukan Dam. Under the guidance of faculty members Mr. Ahmad, Mr. Halmat, and Mr. Osama, students embarked on an excursion that blended theoretical knowledge with practical exposure.
The staff and students were welcomed by Engineer Salam, who graciously shared a wealth of information about the Dukan Dam. His insights encompassed the dam’s construction, engineering aspects, and its role in the regional ecosystem. Engineer Salam’s engaging briefing set the tone for an enlightening exploration. The students, guided by their professors and Engineer Salam, were provided exclusive access to the dam’s inner workings, including a detailed trip inside the dam gallery. This immersive experience allowed students to witness firsthand the engineering marvels that contribute to the dam’s operational efficiency.
