Scientific Trip to Dukan Dam 2022
The Civil Engineering Department, Faculty of Engineering at Tishk International University organized a scientific trip for fourth-grade students to Dukan Dam on March 31st, 2022. Students were supervised by Mr. Abdullah and Mr. Osama.
The participating staff and students were welcomed by Mr. Salam who is responsible for the hydraulic structure of the dam. He provided a tour of the site and introduced each element forming the dam to the students. This trip aimed to help students understand how dams are constructed and where each component must be located. This also enabled students to relate to the theory taught in lectures and relate it to what they learned during the trip. Students were able to relate to their hydraulics class in the field.
