Picnic on Safin Mountain (2nd Year Students)

The Civil Engineering Department, Faculty of Engineering at Tishk International University (TIU) arranged a picnic on Safin Mountain for its second-year students, on December 3rd, 2023. The day began early with students and faculty convening at the university, filled with anticipation for the day ahead. They journeyed together in a spacious bus, engaging in lively conversations and admiring the scenic landscapes en route.

Upon reaching their destination, the students enthusiastically delved into the exploration of nature. They participated in various interactive activities, including games that fostered team spirit and discussions centred around the practical applications of civil engineering in constructing buildings and bridges. The highlight of the trip was a delightful picnic set against the backdrop of the mountain’s breathtaking vistas, where they savoured a spread of delicious food.

This outing transcended beyond mere enjoyment; it served as a platform for strengthening the camaraderie within the group and deepening their appreciation for the pivotal role of civil engineering in shaping the world. The informal setting provided an excellent opportunity for students to interact with their lecturers outside the traditional classroom environment. The lecturers actively engaged with the students, imparting their knowledge and experiences in a relaxed atmosphere.

Amidst the beauty of Safin Mountain and the refreshing ambience of the great outdoors, the group forged stronger bonds. They shared insights, learned collaboratively, and gained a renewed appreciation for the marvels of nature and the intricacies of engineering.
