The Civil Engineering Department in Tishk International University (TIU) started the first Joint Master Program in collaboration with Erbil Polytechnic University (EPU) in April ,2018. On June 7th, 2020 , the master defense session of the Joint Program was held in the presence of Dr. Idris Hadi, President of the University, Dr.Mehmet Ozdemir, Vice President, Dr. Halit Vural Dean of the Faculty of Engineering -TIU , Prof. Dr. Hamed Jassim, Chief of Postgraduate Studies Office-TIU , Assist.Prof. Dr. Ganjeena Khoshnaw, Chief of Postgraduate Studies office-EPU.
Naza Kheder, who was one of the master candidates in the field of Highway Engineering-Civil Engineering Joint program, presented her thesis to the examination committee under the title of ( CAPACITY IMPROVEMENT BASED ON DYNAMIC SIGNALIZED ROAD INTERSECTION USING GENETIC ALGORITHM ).
The master examination committee members were :
1- Asst. Professor Salar Khidir ,PhD., EPU, Chairman.
2- Asst. Professor Noori Sadiq , PhD., Cihan University, Member.
3- Asst. Professor Hirsh Muhammed Majid, PhD., Sulaimany University, Member.
4- Asst. Professor Botan M. Al-Hadad, PhD., EPU, Member and thesis supervisor.
The examination committee accepted the thesis successfully with recommending some minor corrections to be done within one month and congratulated the student for her great effort and high performance in the presentation and through the two years of his study.
Strict precautions and health regulations including wearing masks and applying social distancing rules for protection against the COVID-19 pandemic were followed during the defense session.
