Civil Engineering Department Hosts Successful Seminar on The Engineer’s Role in the Community

On May 7th, 2023, the Civil Engineering Department, Faculty of Engineering at Tishk International University recently hosted a successful seminar on The Engineer’s Role in the Community, presented by Engineer Salahadin Zandi, Vice President of the Engineering Syndicate of Kurdistan.

The seminar, attended by the department’s head and senior civil engineering students, covered the privileges and responsibilities of an engineer and the importance of taking on leadership roles in the community. Students actively participated in the seminar, engaging with the guest speaker, asking questions, and providing comments.

Engineer Salahadin Zandi provided valuable insights on the benefits of becoming a member of a professional engineering organization, which can help civil engineers grow and excel in their field. At the end of the seminar, Engineer Salahadin Zandi was presented with an appreciation plaque by the department’s head on behalf of the Civil Engineering Department for his valuable contributions and insights to the event.

The seminar was followed by a networking session, where students had the opportunity to interact with the guest speaker and fellow students.
