Teaching for Transformation On 18 February 2021, Civil Engineering Department at Tishk International University (TIU) organized a workshop on teaching for transformation in civil engineering department. The workshop was held in TIU Erbil campus hall 302 at 15:00. The workshop aimed to ask teachers’ pay attention to use any divergence from their profession rather than to the curriculum. On December 24th , 2020, From Civil Engineering department, 2nd grade students (50 students) were supervised by Mr. Junaid Kamaran to construction site of Boulevard project located in Erbil - 40-meter street. NICE 2019 Tishk International University held 5th National Innovations Competition in Engineering (NICE2019) on May 05, 2019, under the theme of “Targeting Smart Sustainable Innovations.” Dr. Idris Hadi Salih, Head of Board of Trustees and President of Tishk International University, Deans, and Heads of Departments of the universities that participated honored the Hosts with their presence. Workshop (Introduction to Passive House) On February 12, 2019 civil engineering department organized a seminar entitled Introduction to Passive House for Passive House, Iraq. The seminar was presented by certified passive house designer Engineer Muslim Muhammed who is the member in the international association of passive house. There were many attendees such as professors from civil and architectural engineering department, students from civil engineering department and engineers from different fields coming around Erbil. A site visit to construction site was organized for the 3rd grade civil engineering students on 7th of November 2018. Before anything all safety instructions were given to the student. Then based on the plan all student gathered at the university around 9:30 am and then the site has been reached after 45-minute journey by bus.
