Our alumni Shayma Omar presented a speech about Introduction to Civil Engineering in generally to freshmen students of our department. During the seminar Mrs.Shayma talked about the stages that she passed through and motivated them to study hard in their field because nowadays sciences become more widely. She indicated that being optimistic is one of the key successes in life. Our students were very pleased and motivated by seeing a graduate from their department that she could reach to such a successful stage as that they are in right now. Civil Engineering department organized second workshop on January 15, 2017 at 14:00 in room 215. The workshop chaired by Mss. Rasha Alkabbani coordinator of quality management system. As it is known CE program had started a journey for getting accreditation from a German Institution Zeva. The self-report evaluated by the expert from Zeva Institution. Experts have requested from CE department to prepare explanations regarding their evaluation report. After a hard discussion among teaching staff the explanation report prepared and submitted to experts.

First Year Students Welcome Party

On 11th January, 2017 Civil Engineering Dept. welcomed its first year students. The beginning of the welcoming started by giving an orientation seminar. Department was serving cakes to the freshman students with music and song. They spent joyful time with their lecturers and friends . Department lastly wishes good wills and success in their new academic year.

ETTC – AJG Program

The German engineering company AJG has given the Faculty of Engineering the opportunity to send its students to Munich, Germany. There are two cases that the company is proposing. Case 1 is sending 2 students to Germany during the summer of 2017 for an internship. Case 2 is sending 8-12 students on a study trip for one week. Deputy Prime Minister Rewarded Our Students

KRG Initiative for Internship Program under the management the Deputy Prime Minister Office organized the 3rd Certification Ceremony for the student who took place in internship program. The program was held at Sa’ad Abdullah Conference Hall on 15th of December 2016. In the third year program, 320 students from 30 companies were accepted for the internship program that was conducted in 15 universities. Tishk International University participated in the program with 51 students from 5 different departments. Civil Engineering Dept. participated in the internship program with 12 students and they completed internship programs in three different companies. appreciation for his efforts. Tree Planting Project

Student Deanery organized a project under the title of “Let us make Tishk International green all together” on Tuesday, December 13, 2016 on the campus. The event started by a speech of Umed Aruzery Vice-President for Administration and Finance in which he addressed to our students and our staff; in his utterances, he emphasized the importance of this project and for the region environment. Totally, we planted more than 1000 trees at our university. We, as the Student Deanery, encourage all of our students to be a part or at least participate in such projects to improve themselves and serve the society as well as the nature. [...]
