KRG Board of Investment Hosts Productive Meeting with TIU and Bauhaus University of Weimar for Collaborative MoU

The Civil Engineering Department, Faculty of Engineering at Tishk International University took a significant step towards fostering research collaboration and expanding partnerships with a visit to the KRG (Kurdistan Regional Government) Board of Investment. Dr. Barham Haidar Ali, Head of Department, accompanied by Mr. Twana Ahmed, Lecturer at the Civil Engineering Department, met with Dr. Haval Sdiq Ismail, Representative of the Board and Director General of Assessment and Licensing-Board Bureau.
The purpose of the meeting was to discuss and finalize the draft Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) that will be signed by the KRG Board of Investment, Tishk International University, and Bauhaus University of Weimar. This MoU aims to facilitate a collaborative effort in research and assessing existing structures and explore opportunities for partnership expansion in various fields.
Dr. Barham Haidar Ali and Mr. Twana Ahmed were warmly welcomed by Dr. Haval Sdiq Ismail who expressed his enthusiasm for the proposed collaboration. The meeting provided an opportunity for all parties to exchange ideas, align their objectives, and discuss the strategic aspects of the partnership. The draft MoU was thoroughly reviewed, ensuring it encompasses all stakeholders’ shared vision.
The next steps will involve the official signing of the MoU and the subsequent implementation of joint initiatives, signaling a new era of cooperation and progress in research and development between these esteemed institutions.
