Tishk International University’s Civil Engineering department held an orientation program for first grade students on December 22nd, 2022.
The orientation aimed to provide new students with an overview of the Civil Engineering program and its requirements, as well as to introduce them to the faculty and staff. The event started with a welcoming speech from Dr. Barham, followed by presentations from departmental lecturers, who provided an in-depth insight into the curriculum and extracurricular activities offered by the department.
The orientation also featured interactive sessions that allowed students to ask questions and receive guidance on course selection, academic advising, and other academic matters.
Dr. Barham expressed his hope that the orientation would help new students to become more familiar with the department and its resources, as well as to feel more comfortable and confident as they embark on their academic journey. Overall, the event was a great success, and the department looks forward to welcoming and supporting the new cohort of civil engineering students.
