The Department of Civil Engineering at Tishk International University (TIU) is thrilled to announce that its American Concrete Institute (ACI) Student Chapter has officially been recognized as an Outstanding Chapter for 2025, with the official award plaque sticker successfully received last week. This prestigious honor, which follows a previous win in 2022, is awarded by the ACI Student and Young Professional Activities Committee to recognize student chapters whose diverse activities align with global strategic goals and add immense value to its members. Throughout 2025, the TIU ACI Student Chapter demonstrated an exceptional commitment to excellence by organizing a wide range of technical seminars on innovative concrete technology alongside impactful social community activities. These efforts beautifully align with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), directly contributing to SDG 4 (Quality Education) through practical learning, SDG 9 (Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure) and SDG 11 (Sustainable Cities and Communities) by promoting sustainable construction methodologies, and SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals) through its strong international collaboration with ACI. Congratulations to our dedicated students, faculty advisors, and the entire department for continuing to raise the bar for academic and community success!
