Theme: “Where seismic safety meets sustainable design.”
Date: January 28, 2026
Location: TIU Erbil Campus, New Dentistry Building, Ibn Sina Hall
Event Overview
We are pleased to announce the 1st Technical Symposium on Sustainable, Resilient, and Earthquake-Resistant Structures.
The objective of this one-day, high-level technical event is to bridge the gap between academic research and industrial application in the field of structural engineering. In an era where infrastructure demands both safety and sustainability, this symposium addresses critical challenges facing the region.
The event has been specially curated to tell a cohesive story, guiding attendees through a strategic narrative arc. The program will establish the necessary regulatory framework first, before diving into real-world context, practical applications, component-level details, and finally, future design strategies.
