On 5th December 2025 – In celebration of World Soil Day, the Civil Engineering Department at Tishk International University (TIU) hosted an insightful seminar led by Dr. Yousif A. Hussein. The event aimed to highlight the critical role of soil health in sustainable urban development and civil engineering practices.
Addressing an audience of Dean of Engineering and head of departments within the department’s laboratory facilities, Dr. Yousif delivered a presentation titled “World Soil Day” The session focused on the 2025 global theme, emphasizing that while soil is often associated with rural agriculture, it is equally fundamental to the stability and environmental health of urban landscapes.
