A Seminar: “Essential of PBL in Engineering”

On 24th of January 2019, a seminar was  held in The Engineering Faculty, Tishk International international University (TIU), under the title of “Essential of PBL in Engineering” The seminar presented by Assist. Prof. N.S. Sivakumar a lecturer in Mechatronics Department, TIU. During the seminar, the presenter discussed Guiding and motivating students actively to be involved in projects. A general discussion about PBL in engineering was opened between the attended faculty members.

On 3rd December 2018, in the purpose of signing MoU between Tishk International University and University of Babylon where the main steps and procedures of holding such successful conferences were thoroughly explained. On Monday, November the 19th 2018, at 13:30, the Dean of Engineering Faculty, Dr. Khaled Wooral with the academics of the engineering faculty in Tishk International University as one family gathered to welcome back Mr. Behcet Celik a lecturer in engineering department after his recovery of an operation. International Accreditation Site-Visit of Computer Engineering and IT

On October 16th and 17th 2018, an Expert Panel comprised of two Academic Representatives, one Representative of Profession, one Students Representative and Project Manager conducted a site-visit to Tishk International University Campus as a part of the International Accreditation Procedure of both B.Sc.-programs in Computer Engineering and Information Technology. The “ Central Evaluation and Accreditation Agency” (ZEvA) formed the panel which is a founding member of The European Association for Quality Assurance in Higher Education (ENQA) and The European Consortium for Accreditation (ECA) . Modern Project-Based Learning (PBL) Workshop

On the 4th of October 2018, under the theme title of project-based learning (PBL) in the faculty of engineering, Tishk International  University, Erbil, a workshop was held. The workshop was presented by four instructors from different Iraqi universities.           Firstly prof. Dr. Nabil Adel (QA unit in Saladin university), started by defining the quality assurance and the quality control and comparing them. The second section was presented by prof. Fatima (Knowledge University). She explained the techniques and tools and how to apply it in the education process at universities. The third section was presented by prof. Courtesy visit to Soran University

On the 5th of Jun 2018, a delegation of Tishk International University from the Dean of Engineering Faculty has visited University of Soran. The aim of the visit was to strengthen the academic relationship between Tishk International University and Soran University. Tishk International delegation invited Soran university academic staff to participate in the coming International Engineering Conference  (IEC) in February, 2019 and International Conference on Architecture and Interior Design (ICAD) in October 2019. Accreditation Pre-Procedure Meeting

As a part of the continues development, Tishk International University is currently in the Preparation Phase for the International Accreditation Procedure of two Academic Bachelor Degrees Programs in Computer Engineering and Information Technology.
