TIU Holds 9th International Engineering Conference (IEC2023) In Collaboration with IEEE Iraq Section Tishk International University and Erbil Polytechnic University hosted the 9th International Engineering Conference (IEC2023) on February 15th-16th, 2023. IEC2023 is technically sponsored by IEEE and IEEE Iraq Section. The conference aimed to disseminate research findings and provide a platform for scholars to debate and exchange ideas on the developments in the field of engineering. On 17th of January 2023, the Tamyouz awards distribution ceremony was held in Muscat, Oman. The ceremony was accompanied by 3 days of talks and seminars and trips around the city. Tishk International university participated in the activities. Tamayouz Excellence Award of the ninth cycle of its Iraqi Graduation Projects Award 2020, which aims to support and recognise excellence in architectural design and education among Iraq’s universities, students and academics. on January 18th, 2023. the Surveying and Geomatics Department / Engineering Faculty at Tishk International University in Erbil, Iraq, organized an international workshop. The workshop was under the title “Interpolation Techniques for Building a Continuous Surface (map) from Discrete Data”. It was presented by Professor Dr. Tariq from Tishk International University and Dr. Amed Mamud from Arizona University USA. The Surveying and Geomatics Engineering Department, Faculty of Engineering at Tishk International University organized an annual training course on UAV-PHOTOGRAMMETRY TRAINING. The course was held for graduate and undergraduate students and staff of the engineering faculty at TIU. The training was from Sep 15th, 2022, to Jan 5th, 2023. A total of 24 hours, including theoretical and practical sessions, were presented by Mr. Qubad Zeki Hanari and Mr. Bakhtiyar Ahmed Mala. We enjoy competition. We enjoy challenges. If a challenge is in front of us and it appeals to us, we go ahead and conquer it. This is the slogan of Civil Engineering Department at TIU. To make the students competitive, active, link the theoretical study to the modeled structure, brain storming ideas, quick analysis of a structure, and working in teams, the department organized a Marsh – mellow competition on December 20, 2022.The competition was open for 2nd and 3rd  grade students, about 32 students participated from both the grades. On the 15th of December, 2022, the Department of Architecture Engineering at Tishk International University , organized an international workshop entitled Performance of Working Drawing among Universities and Consultant Offices in Iraq and the Netherlands.
