On May 5, 2026, the Interior Design Department at the Faculty of Engineering, Tishk International University organized a scientific trip for fourth-stage students to JIR Home and Space Design as part of their Special topics in interior design course. The trip was supervised by the department lecturer Mr.Frsat Abdullah and aimed to strengthen students’ practical understanding of interior and space design applications.

The primary objective of the trip was to provide students with direct exposure to real residential and commercial design projects, allowing them to observe how design concepts are implemented in practice. During the visit, students explored different interior spaces and learned about smart home solutions, furniture arrangements, material selections, lighting systems, spatial organization, and modern design techniques used in contemporary projects.

The management team at JIR Home and Space Design warmly welcomed the staff and students and provided a detailed presentation and tour of the projects and showroom spaces. Throughout the visit, the lecturers and company representatives explained the main design concepts, functional considerations, and technical aspects involved in transforming ideas into completed interior spaces.
During the scientific trip, students were encouraged to take photographs, collect information, and observe design details that support their academic projects and studio work. The visit also helped students better understand the relationship between theoretical knowledge and practical application in the field of interior design. Finally, students were asked to reflect on their observations and summarize the knowledge and experience they gained from the trip.
