Field Trip to CMC Hospital
As part of the scientific activities related to the Interior Design Studio Vl Course, delivered by Mr. Nawzad Kakamand and Mr. Sulaiman Ahmed Mustafa, Mrs. Sara Hadi and Mrs. Sawen Ahmed, the Department of Interior Design Engineering, Faculty of Engineering at Tishk International University organised a trip to CMC Private Hospital for fourth-grade students, held on October 26th, 2022.
The hospital staff welcomed the staff and students and displayed great assistance and cooperation. The participants were divided into four groups and toured different parts and units of the hospital. The lecturers described the design, finishings, furniture and facilities used within interior spaces. Main design points, dimensions, and construction details were thoroughly explained to the students throughout the tour.
Mr. Nawzad and Mr. Suliman explained the architectural and interior design elements and shared redesign suggestions that could enhance the general atmosphere. They also discussed how to establish a healthier environment for patients and to increase the healing level in every sense, extending their role to focus on health and wellness, not just illness.
