LUMION Training Course The Interior Design Department, Faculty of Engineering at Tishk International University organized a Lumion Training Course. The course was held 4 hours a week (Sundays and Thursdays), starting on 20th of February, 2022 and was successfully completed on 10th of April, 2022. The purpose of the course was to teach the fundamental techniques of using the LUMION program; an architectural visualization program used by Interior Designers, Architects and Landscape Designers. A Seminar by Dr. Hassan Hassoon on Sustainability in Built Environment On January 17th, 2022 a seminar was presented by Dr. Hassan Hassoon, Lecturer at Interior Design Department, Tishk International University. The seminar, attended by TIU staff, explained how cities are reaching a crucial state as they become larger, resulting in population growth and traffic congestion. Discussions on the current state of the cities and potential solutions for the environment were also held in the seminar.

Scientific Trip to Cement and Brick Factories On the 15th of December, second-stage students of the Interior Design Department of the Faculty of Engineering had a site visit to cement and bricks factories in Erbil, under the supervision of Mr. Saad Issa, Lecturer of the Interior Design Materials Course, and Ms. Lujain, Research Assistant. The aim of the visit was to introduce the production of construction materials and the phases the materials go through to obtain the state of usage in construction.

Tishk International University has organized (ICAD2021) an International Conference on Architecture and Interior Design in collaboration with the University of Technology of Baghdad, under the theme of "Education and Practice in Architecture". The conference will be held on 9th -10th November 2021. The conference includes a two days workshop about Research Methodology for Architecture and Interior Design,  directed by Dr. Afroz Ahmad Shah. Students are urged to participate on both days of the conference. A certificate will be given to paid participants.

Third Stage Student’s Site Visit to Retail Shops

On 20th October 2021 third-stage students of the Interior Design Department participated in a site visit to retail stores and outlets under the supervision of Mr. Nawzad, Mr. Suleiman, Ms. Merve, Ms. Sana, Ms. Sara, Ms. Aysha. The aim of the trip was to gather information about retail stores' interior design and to discover what must be taken into account prior to developing a design for a retail store.

Fourth Stage Student’s Site Visit to Cambridge School

On 20th October 2021, fourth-stage students of the Interior Design Department participated in a visit to Cambridge International School. The visit was organized under the supervision of Dr. Mohammed, Ms. Shaymaa, and Ms. Sara. The aim of the visit was to collect data about the site to help redesign the school landscape.
