Tishk International University’s 7th National Innovation Competition in Engineering (NICE2022) was held on Wednesday, May 19th, 2022, under the theme of “Targeting Smart Sustainable Innovations.” The aim of the competition is to gather students, supervisors, practitioners, educators, and students of all Engineering Departments with interests in smart sustainable innovations from around universities in the Kurdistan Region and Iraq. Staff exchange with Potsdam University A TIU delegation paid a visit to Potsdam University for the aim of accomplishing the Religious Mapping of Erbil Project, which focuses on Religious and Cultural Diversity, and the religious mapping of Erbil. This project was first initiated in March 2018 and was successfully completed this month. It was carried out in collaboration with Potsdam University in Germany, Tishk International University, Salahaddin University, and Catholic University in Erbil, and was funded by the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD). The Dean of Students of Tishk International University/ Faculty of Engineering organized a hiking trip to Safin Mountain on December 5th, 2020. Hiking is the outdoor activity of going on long walks in natural environments. It is a very popular activity worldwide, particularly amongst western societies and includes many benefits, such as improving mental health, losing excess weight and decreasing hypertension. Tishk International International University, (TIU) has signed a memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with Field Ready Makers Space (Erbil section) on January 27,  2020. Ms.Wafa Alattas, (Country Director) of Field Ready Makers Space and team members Mr. Reuf Kapidzic (Iraq Technical Lead) and Ms. Mariam Yaarub (Erbil Technical Lead) have visited Tishk International International University.
