Tishk International University held the 5th NICE competition on May 5th, 2019, under the theme of “Targeting Smart Sustainable Innovations”. At the opening ceremony, Dr. Idris Hadi Head of Board Trustees of TIU gave a speech as to the significance of the program not only for TIU and KRG but also for each key dynamics of the world in innovation and engineering fields. Leaser Scanning Seminar

On the 2nd of May, Our Department held the seminar for First Grade students and academic staffs under the title "Laser Scanning " by Mr. Bakhtyar from Salahaddin University department of Geomatics Engineering,. The seminar gave information about principles of Leaser Scanning instrument and its applications in different categories especially in the documentation of the national heritage.

On 8th of April 2019, Surveying and Geomatics Engineering department held the training course about the basics of the Total station instrument for Engineering faculty staff of TIU, which contained the theoretical and practical session. The Training was programmed by the departmental staff (Mr. Rozh Ismael, Mr. Mohammed Qader, Mr.Shamal M. Ameen), the Trainers focused on deferent methods in using Total Station Instrument which was ended successfully by 14th of April 2019. On Feb. 27th, 2019, Engineering Faculty, and Science Faculty organized an event of (Poster Presentation Competition) at the exhibition area of the 5th floor of TIU, main building, among the first year students on the Academic Debate course. Our department participated by ten posters, prepared by our first year students, covering the Surveying and Geomatics Engineering fields, and their applications. Students have explained the contents of their posters to the visitors, and Jury Committee in a proper and understandable way. A scientific workshop held in Surveying and Geomatics Engineering Department- Tishk International University on 07/01/2019 to discuss the curriculum of the department and cooperated with Slahaddin University, represented by their experts in this field, among them Assistant Prof.Dr. Mohammed Anwer, Mr. Rozhgar Qarani, and Professor.Dr. Bayan Salim, Associate Professor Dr. Thamer Ahmed from Civil Department of TIU, the workshop was chaired by Assistant Professor Qubad Zeki Head of Surveying and Geomatics Engineering Department/ Tishk International University.the main purpose of the workshop to updating the curriculums of the department according to international university regulation and our regional marketing inneeds.
