In collaboration with the Dean of Students at Tishk International University, the Interior Design Department, Faculty of Engineering, implemented a Social Community Project held on May 14th, 2024.Tishk University’s Visit to Autism Center: Supporting with Essential Supplies Our first and second-stage students from our department recently visited the Autism Center, bringing much-needed items to support the children there. We donated desks, a first aid kit, therapeutic equipment, a microphone, and specially designed games for children with autism. This initiative underscores our commitment to community service and the well-being of children with special needs.
As our students did various activities with the individuals at the center, including art projects, sensory games, and social interaction exercises. Through this interaction, they gained a deeper understanding and appreciation for the unique perspectives and abilities of those with autism. The visit not only provided support and companionship to the individuals at the center but also fostered empathy, compassion, and inclusivity among our students.”
students also bought needed accessories like (desks ,chair, games,etc..) The day spent together by our students and the children at the autism center was filled with joy and connection. Laughter echoed through the halls as they engaged in various activities, from playing games to creating art together. Despite any initial apprehensions, bonds quickly formed, and barriers dissolved as they shared moments of genuine understanding and companionship. It was a day marked by smiles, kindness, and the simple joy of being together, leaving a lasting impression on both the students and the children alike.
