Social Community Project
In collaboration with the Dean of Students at Tishk International University, Interior Design Department implemented a Social Community Project by Organizing a two days art workshop for (Khanda Orphanage) on the date of 05-06/06/2022, the visit aimed to Being in line with the vision of the orphanage and working in educating children about art , crafts and design , Interviewing children to understand the mindset and examine their knowledge about the art and design in general .
The department prepared special gift bags for each kid by her/his name and brought the necessary material of (cutters, scissors, paints, coloring pencils and papers) with them to perform the workshop there.
The volunteered Research Assistants and Students offered face painting, paper painting and making small origami shapes for the kids, the children had a good time learning how to deal with shapes and how to draw animals and objects by simplified polygons and letters.
The department agreed and promised to organize summer workshop for the children that is aiming at one particular area to develop in the orphanage in the nearest future.
Interior Design Department aims to organize more workshops about art, sculpturing and languages, as a part of our duty against the society and the orphans .
