On June 3, 2025, Tishk International University hosted an insightful seminar titled “Eco-Ergonomics: Innovating for Human Comfort and Environmental Responsibility,” organized by the Interior Design Department and presented by Mrs. Rawaz Najmaddin.
This seminar explored the emerging field of eco-ergonomics, which integrates ergonomic design principles with environmentally conscious strategies to create spaces that are both human-centered and sustainable. Mrs. Najmaddin emphasized the importance of designing interiors that not only enhance physical comfort and well-being but also reduce ecological impact through smart material choices, efficient spatial planning, and energy-conscious solutions.
The seminar shed light on how thoughtful design can support both individual health and global sustainability, encouraging a shift toward interiors that align with ecological ethics while meeting the functional and emotional needs of users. Through case studies and practical insights, the session illustrated how innovation in design can bridge the gap between environmental responsibility and everyday comfort.
