On April 21, 2025, the students of the Interior Design Department at Tishk International University actively participated in a special fundraising event titled “Buy a Snack, Build a Library.” The initiative was launched to raise funds for the renovation of a local school library that is in poor condition, with limited resources and outdated materials.
The event featured a vibrant food sale organized and managed by the interior design students themselves. They prepared and sold a variety of snacks, sweets, and beverages, turning their creativity and organizational skills toward a meaningful social cause. With enthusiastic participation from students, faculty, and university staff, the event successfully raised both funds and awareness for the urgent need to improve educational infrastructure in the community.
This initiative was more than just a fundraiser—it was a demonstration of civic engagement, teamwork, and social responsibility. The students used their platform to advocate for better learning conditions for young children, proving that even small acts, like buying a snack, can contribute to building something much larger—a future full of opportunity and access to education.
The Interior Design Department is proud of its students for taking the lead in such a purposeful and compassionate project and looks forward to supporting more student-led initiatives that make a difference in the lives of others.
