On February 15–16, 2025, the Interior Design Department, Faculty of Engineering at Tishk International University (TIU), organized a two-day workshop entitled “Art as Therapy for Well-Being & Quality Education” under the theme Art as Therapy | A Day of Creativity & Well-Being.

The workshop aimed to support mental well-being and encourage creative learning within the university community through freehand coloring and artistic expression. The sessions were conducted in a calm and welcoming atmosphere filled with focus, positive energy, and creativity. Participants were genuinely engaged and expressed great happiness throughout the activities, reflecting the power of art in promoting relaxation, connection, and emotional comfort.

The workshop was organized and supervised by Mrs. Faeza Bakr, Mrs. Aya Shukri, and Ms. Sara Mahmood, who guided participants in exploring how simple artistic practices can positively impact mental health and overall well-being.

On the second day, a small exhibition was held to proudly present the participants’ artworks. The exhibition space was filled with creativity and joy, as attendees appreciated the displayed works and celebrated the efforts of all participants. Through a voting process, Dr. Hannen from the Faculty of Dentistry won recognition for her outstanding artwork.

This two-day initiative successfully created a supportive and inspiring environment within the university, highlighting the importance of integrating art, well-being, and quality education in academic settings.
