Scientific Trip For 4th Grade Students

On February 28th 2024, fourth-grade students from the Interior Design Engineering Department, Faculty of Engineering at Tishk International University (TIU) participated in a valuable trip as part of their course. During this excursion, the senior students had the opportunity to visit the Khoshnaw Tower construction site in Erbil, providing them with a valuable learning experience.

The visit, guided by their professor, provided them with firsthand insights into the project’s finishing stages, including electrical and plumbing systems, tile installation, interior design elements, and firefighting systems. Observing the practical integration of engineering principles and aesthetics was crucial for the students. They witnessed the complexities and considerations involved in bringing an interior design vision to life. Dr. Barham Haidar, who led the visit, expressed his appreciation to Site Manager Engineer Sabr and the other engineers who shared their knowledge and expertise with the students. “Their insights were invaluable in enriching the learning experience,” he said. TIU remains committed to providing its students with practical learning opportunities. This site visit exemplifies the university’s dedication to fostering well-rounded interior design professionals.

This visit to the Khoshnaw Tower  proved to be a great success, bridging the gap between theoretical classroom learning and practical industry exposure. It offered the students a unique opportunity to witness firsthand the professional skills and attributes that are highly sought after in the dynamic field of interior design. By intertwining theoretical knowledge with real-world experiences, the department continues to equip its students with the necessary tools and insights to excel in their future careers.
