National Recognition
The Aviation Engineering Department at Tishk International University proudly announces its successful participation in the 10th National Innovation Competition in Engineering (NICE 2025). Under the theme “Targeting Smart Sustainable Innovations,” three fourth-year students represented TIU with exceptional research projects that showcased innovation and academic excellence.
Award-Winning Projects
First Place Winner
Yasin Kamaran Ali presented “Design and Performance Analysis for a Blade-less Drone for Search Operation on Triphibian Terrains,” supervised by Prof. Dr. Abdullateef Jadallah. This project demonstrated innovative drone design for versatile search and rescue operations across land, water, and air environments.
Second Place Winner
Taha Abdullah Burhan developed an “AI-Powered Flight Navigation System for UAVs” under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Qaysar M. Salih. The project showcased advanced artificial intelligence applications for unmanned aerial vehicle navigation and control systems.
Third Place Winner
Muhammed Abdulkhalq created a “Study, Design, and Construction of a Retractable Electric Landing Gear” supervised by Dr. Soorkeu Abdulwahab. This project focused on innovative landing gear technology enhancing aircraft efficiency and sustainability.
