On September 22, 2024, the Aviation Engineering Department hosted an event for prospective students interested in the Aviation Engineering program at Tishk International University to provide them with information about the program. The event begun with a warm welcome from our aviation staff, followed by a presentation from the head of the department, Dr. Soorkeu Attroshi. On August 25th and 26th of 2024, a representative from the Aviation Engineering Department visited the "Iraqi Civil Aviation Authority (ICAA)" in Baghdad with letters of support for cooperation in fields related to regulations, ICAA license, student training, internship, and future employment prospects. ICAA's head office welcomed the initiative and offered all necessary support for starting and continuing the academic cooperation between the "Authority" and the University, as represented by the Head of Aviation Eng. On May 18, 2024, a group of aviation engineering students and staff visited the Erbil Gas Power Station to gain insight into the complexities of energy production. The tour provided them with an understanding of how natural gas is transformed into electricity, showcasing the technological and engineering marvels behind the process. They observed the operation of turbines and control systems and interacted with engineers and technicians who explained the environmental and efficiency considerations of modern power generation. This visit not only enhanced their knowledge of energy infrastructure but also inspired their interest in engineering and sustainability.

2nd Clean and Green Project: Together for a Brighter Future On May 18th, 2024, student and staff members of the Aviation Engineering Department, Faculty of Engineering at Tishk International University (TIU) including students and staff, were actively involved in a community project located on Makhmour Road, Erbil.
