On Tuesday, May 19, 2026, the Aviation Engineering Department at the Faculty of Engineering, Tishk International University will host an international workshop entitled “Safety and Security in Sustainable Aviation.” The workshop aims to highlight the importance of aviation safety, security, and sustainable operational practices in modern air transportation systems. It will focus on the implementation of Artificial Intelligence and Digital Travel Credential Technology in aviation, as well as enhancing situation awareness and workload management for air traffic controllers and pilots. The event reflects the department’s commitment to advancing innovation, research, and global collaboration in the field of sustainable aviation and aerospace engineering.

The workshop will take place on Tuesday, May 19, 2026, at 13:00 hrs in the Main Building, Room 124 (next to the IT Office). It will be delivered by two international experts from Cranfield University. Session one, “Implementation of Artificial Intelligence and Using Digital Travel Credential Technology,” will be presented by a PhD Researcher in Aviation Technology.
