On May 18, 2024, a group of aviation engineering students and staff visited the Erbil Gas Power Station to gain insight into the complexities of energy production. The tour provided them with an understanding of how natural gas is transformed into electricity, showcasing the technological and engineering marvels behind the process. They observed the operation of turbines and control systems and interacted with engineers and technicians who explained the environmental and efficiency considerations of modern power generation. This visit not only enhanced their knowledge of energy infrastructure but also inspired their interest in engineering and sustainability.
