The Aviation Engineering Department, Faculty of Engineering at Tishk International University (TIU) is excited to announce a National Workshop on Aviation and SDG 13 Climate Action. The workshop supports SDG 13 – Climate Action by exploring the effect of more efficient and responsible technical aviation practices. The emphasis will be on innovation in lightweight materials, maintenance, braking systems, and the retraction mechanism, leading to optimizing energy requirements and fuel consumption. It also promotes sustainable engineering approaches, encouraging participants to adopt design and maintenance practices that contribute to reducing the overall carbon footprint within the aviation industry.

The workshop will take place on Wednesday, 26th November 2025, at TIU Main Building Room #124.
The workshop will be presented by Professor Dr. Abdullateef Jadallah and Dr. Soorkeu A.Atrooshi.
