Event Participation

On April 29, 2025, the Aviation Engineering Department participated in the 8th International Festival of Language, Culture, and Science, representing the Republic of Poland under the theme “Diversity is Our Strength, Unity is Our Power.” This annual celebration highlighted global diversity and academic collaboration through cultural, historical, and technological presentations.

Cultural Presentations

Traditional Dress Display
Third and second-year students Rivan Rizgar and Hamza Mimoon opened the event wearing traditional Polish clothing, offering an authentic representation of Polish heritage.

Industry in Poland (10:00 – 12:00)
Presented by Yousif Alan, this session explored Poland’s key industrial sectors including aviation, manufacturing, mining, energy, and technology, emphasizing their economic significance and global impact.

Polish Culture Quizzes (11:00 – 13:00)
Anya Kamaran and Chovin Wshyar conducted interactive cultural activities testing knowledge of Polish traditions, language, cuisine, and historical figures.

Historical Perspectives (12:00 – 14:00)
Hamza Mimoon presented a comprehensive journey through Polish history, highlighting the country’s resilience, cultural contributions, and European role.

Aviation Industry (14:00 – 16:00)
Maitham Abdulsalam provided an overview of Poland’s aviation sector, covering major airlines, aerospace companies, aircraft production, and international collaborations.

Additional Activities

Food Fundraising Initiative
Mohammed Jawad, Dilan Khaled, and Saman Amjad organized traditional Polish food service, supporting student-led initiatives while offering cultural culinary experiences.
