In collaboration with Iraq Surveying Company – Erbil Branch, the Surveying and Geomatics Department, Faculty of Engineering at Tishk International University, organised a workshop under the title: Low-Cost, High-Performance Geodetic Tools for Geomatics Applications, held on November 30th, 2022.
Tishk International University has an MOA with Iraq Surveying Company, an authorised dealer and one of the world’s five biggest surveying engineering companies (Hi-Target, South, Kolida, GEOMAX, and DJI). The workshop was about the different types of low-cost, high-performance geomatics equipment such as Total Station, GNSS, UAV Drone, USV, etc. The workshop aimed to present the companies’ latest products, their specifications, and their applications in the field of geomatics.
The workshop aimed at enhancing the knowledge and application and Introducing the instruments with low cost and high performance in the field of geomatics. It also aimed to gather managers, engineers, supervisors, and students of all engineering fields around universities in Kurdistan and Iraq interested in Technology and Geomatics applications.
The workshop included the following sessions:
- 1st session: Geodetic tools
- 2nd session: Applications in Geomatics
