Food Packages for the Needy: Surveying and Geomatics Engineering Department Collaborate with Dilnewa NGO
In collaboration with Dilnewa Organization NGO, the Surveying & Geomatics Engineering Department, Faculty of Engineering at Tishk International University conducted a community service project on 10th April 2023 . The project was initiated after a meeting was held between our department and the Dilnewa Organization NGO to discuss the logistics and distribution of the food packages.
Under the able guidance of Mr. Shamal Mohammed-Amin, our department distributed 20 food packages to the poor and vulnerable population residing in the Kawargosk area. The food packages were carefully curated to include 8 different items, providing a diverse and nutritious selection for the recipients.
The distribution of the food packages was carried out smoothly, and our team was well-prepared to handle any challenges that arose during the process. We were glad to see that the project was well-received by the community, and we hope that it was able to provide some measure of relief to those in need.
As a department, we remain committed to serving the community and will continue to seek out opportunities to make a positive impact. We believe that community service is an essential aspect of our role as engineers, and we will continue to work toward building a better society through our actions.
