Through Community-University Partnership Projects, the Department of Surveying and Geomatics Engineering at Tishk International University extended the Erbil Orphanage Community Project for the 2021-2022 academic year.
The Social Community project 2020/2021
On April 6th, 2022, a member of our department Mr Shamal Mohamad Amin, visited the orphanage home in Erbil to discuss their needs and requests in providing a better home for the orphans.
The required funding was arranged by our academic staff (Mr Shamal Mohammad Amin and Mr Mohammad Qader), students, and Benevolent. On April 8th, 2022, the committee purchased all these required appliances for the orphanage home of Erbil and delivered them to the orphanage management.
The committee further signed an agreement with NOZAN Centre on May 15th, 2022, to provide responsibility-free of charge for maintenance of all electrical and mechanical equipment of the orphanage home. The management of the orphanage praised TIU for its extensive efforts and thanked our team for working to provide a better home for the orphans.
