Academic Trip to Salahaddin University

Surveying and Geomatics Engineering Department of Tishk International University arranges a scientific trip for it’s a student to visit the Geomatics Engineering department of the engineering college at Salahaddin University on Sunday 17/11/2019 11:00 AM. Our students received by the head of department and lecturers, among them Dr. Haval Abduljabar, Assist prof. Dr.Mohammed Anwer Mr. Rozhgar Qarani and Mr.Bakhtyar Mala, they are trying to explain the role of geomatics engineering in the development and new technologies such as GPS, Total station, Laser Scanners, in addition, they visited photogrammetry, Remote Sensing, and GIS laboratories, they were informed widely about operations and output of these Labs.

On December 15, 2019, the Surveying and Geomatics Engineering Department, Tishk International University (TIU) is going to organize the workshop under the title " Competency based curriculum". The main presenter is Asst. Prof. Dr. Khaleel Hassan Younis who is currently Assistant Professor at Erbil Polytechnic University, Erbil Technology Institute Department of Road Construction, Erbil, Kurdistan Region of Iraq. He holds MSc. in Structure, (Al-Mustansiriya University), Baghdad, Iraq. And PhD. in Structure material, (University of Sheffield), United Kingdom. Department orientation program

Surveying and Geomatics Engineering department organized  an  orientation program for new students of academic year (2019-2020) on 10th of November, 2019. the program started with welcome speech by Head of Department, and later a seminar regarding  the mission of our department, future job opportunities, courses taught, and more presented by Mr. Rozh Ismael. Finally, the regulation and the system of TIU explained and presented by Mr. Mohammed Qader. NICE 2019

Tishk International University held the 5th NICE competition on May 5th, 2019, under the theme of “Targeting Smart Sustainable Innovations”. At the opening ceremony, Dr. Idris Hadi Head of Board Trustees of TIU gave a speech as to the significance of the program not only for TIU and KRG but also for each key dynamics of the world in innovation and engineering fields. He has thanked all participants, particularly from other universities and staff who made a performance for this program. Leaser Scanning Seminar

On the 2nd of May, Our Department held the seminar for First Grade students and academic staffs under the title "Laser Scanning " by Mr. Bakhtyar from Salahaddin University department of Geomatics Engineering,. The seminar gave information about principles of Leaser Scanning instrument and its applications in different categories especially in the documentation of the national heritage.
