Academic Trip to GIS Center at director of Planning and Developments

On March 10th, 2021, second-grade students of our department,  under the supervision of Mr. Rozh Ismael and Mrs. Hana Cheto visited the Academic Trip to GIS Center at the director of Planning and Developments. The students were received by Mrs. Shukria Abbas Qadir, Director of Urban Planning. GIS Department and Surveying Department presented a seminar in which cadastral works and land law, GIS and GPS applications, their role, and the importance of cadastral were explained and discussed.

On the 25th of February,2021, the Surveying and Geomatics Engineering Department arranged a workshop titled 'Courses syllabus vs Industrial applications', attended by the Department of the Geomatics Engineering /Engineering College – Salahaddin University and our departments' staff, including, Ass. Internal Seminar about RTK and RTK Network

On 11th of January,2021, the Department of Surveying and Geomatics conducted an internal seminar under the title “RTK and RTK Network ” , presented by Rozh Ismael “Assistant Lecturer”. The seminar discussed RTK and RTK network survey methods, the differences between them, and benefits of the two techniques in surveying projects. GNSS survey methods have a wide range of use in surveying engineering, therefore it is important for our staff to be more familiar with the methods of GNSS surveying as well as the new techniques and technologies currently available. A welcoming ceremony was held by the Department of Surveying and Geomatics Engineering/Faculty of Engineering – TIU, for our newcomers, on December 13th, 2020, in Hall 244 in the Main Building.
