Food Packages for People in Need

In collaboration with the Dean of Students, the Surveying & Geomatics Engineering Department, Faculty of Engineering at Tishk International University (TIU) conducted a community service project on 6th April 2024. The project was initiated after a meeting was held between our department and the Dean of Students to discuss the logistics and distribution of the food packages.

Under the able guidance of Mr. Shamal Mohammed-Amin, our department distributed 15 food packages and Money packages to 21 families in the poor and vulnerable population residing in the Daratoo area. The food packages were carefully curated to include 8 different items, providing a diverse and nutritious selection for the recipients.

The distribution of the food packages was carried out smoothly, and our team was well-prepared to handle any challenges that arose during the process. We were glad to see that the project was well-received by the community, and we hope that it was able to provide some measure of relief to those in need.

The Department of Surveying & Geomatics Engineering remains committed to serving the community and will continue to seek out opportunities to make a positive impact. We believe that community service is an essential aspect of our role as engineers, and we will continue to work toward building a better society through our actions.
